Biography
Though born to the Shadow flight, Adakias wanted nothing more than to soar the open skies and, upon coming of age, struck out to seek a life beyond the suffocating brambles of the Tangled Wood.
Unfortunately for him, his aimless flittering got him terribly lost and he somehow ended up in the frozen expanse of the Southern Icefields.
The Shelter from the Cold is a sprawling cave system carved into the ice and stone beneath the Reclaimer's Glacier.
Inside, the Shelter is warmed with intricate spellwork and lit with hundreds of mismatched lamps. The otherwise hard floor has been covered in a haphazard jumble of anything from rugs to pillows to furs to treasure—all depending on which clan member has made it their home.
Nearly all of the clan's members started out somewhere else. Whether they were lost travelers like Adakias himself, deserters, cast-offs, orphans, or otherwise left for dead, they've all been welcomed into the clan's makeshift home and have chosen to stay and help keep the Shelter safe and supplied.
