Surprisingly the clan's spiritual leader was born not in the Ashfall Waste, but on the Windswept Plateau. Raised in a family of nobles, Daemon was a spoiled young imp with an inflated sense of self-worth. He often challenged others for seemingly minor "insults". Once the offending dragon accepted his challenge, Daemon used his size and wealth to arrange a victory in his favor. He would make sure to see that the loser was stripped of all of their titles and riches.

This obviosuly did not sit well with many of those he wronged and they plotted their revenge. One day, Daemon was lured to the Great Furnace on some false pretense. Once he had arrived at the top, Daemon's clanmates pushed him into the burning inferno to free themselves of the petty tyrant once and for all.

Had he not caught the Flamecaller's eye, Daemon would have been fated to die that day. But she must have seen something of value at the center of this raw material, and so infused some of her magic into the broken imperial. Daemon was saved but his life as he knew it was long over, his mind and body reshaped in the flames.

Newly reborn and set adrift in the giant crater, he was rescued by the clan of Fire and Smoke's lava miner Nymeria. At first she did not know what to make of the singed but unburnt dragon, but she brought him back to the lair and nursed the mysterious stranger back to health. Daemon, his entire world having been reformed around him pledged his life to both The Flamecaller and his rescuer.

Today, Daemon is the devout spiritual leader of the clan. He remembers little of his time before the reformation event but what lingers in his mind fills him with shame. Everyday he attempts to live a better life and prove himself worthy of the Flamecaller's magic he now carries inside him.
