______ Aconite was the first to emerge blinking into the cave and was the one to decide he needed a clan. He compiled his flock, and watched many move on their way, not to be permanent members of the Hooligan Court. Though the Progen, he never felt himself to be the true king or otherwise ruler. He simply scouted and brought others into the fold, being the sole judge of a dragons worth and place in the clan. He is the first one most dragons see and yet most do not know his name let alone his role. He is a silent guardian, a gentle soul with an iron core to help shoulder his heavy burden.

______ This solitary dragon most often makes contact with hatchlings or dragons feeling particularly insecure. He has a knack for knowing when he is needed most, mostly when said dragon is alone. He is soft and good at cuddles and exudes a calming aura. He collects little gems and baubles to give away and brighten someone's day. He always had his bags packed full of them. Though he is all this he is still fierce, keeping several trophies on his person. Despite being the progen of the clan he is more of a bounder, not having a dedicated living space of his own, prefering to roam his lands personally.

______ Of those that Aconite has helped, many attempt to seek him out to thank him or get to know him or merely bask in his presence once more but he remains elusive. The only ones who can find him and spend any meaningful time of him are Azile , Orillo , Kingly , and Queenie who run the clan and take his input very seriously. He’s lonely, though he doesn’t let it show. Ever since his first mate ended up being a conniving, two-faced witch and he thought it better to be exalted he hasn’t taken another as his own.

P O S T M O R T E M

______ Here he is, our Progenitor, returned to us from the Great Waste in the Sky. This has only made it harder for dear Aconite to seclude himself from his adoring clan. There is no hiding from his infamy anymore. Little do most of the dragons in the clan know that he was not in the Great Wastes, and their little lair was not always a hive of pestilence and sweet sickness. No, when he began Aconite was a Nature Dragon in a lush and growing lair. It was healthy. He came back to rot and festering Plague. It was not his place to go back to lurking on the edges of a glade, watching over a handful of playful hatchlings. The clan needed him.

______ It took a while to understand the virtues of Plague. Just because it is no longer bright emerald greens and warm living browns it is still growing. And it is not like this is something even Aconite, with all his might, can change. It’s not like he’s going anywhere, after all.

______ Aconite spends his days now listening to the clan in the daily airing of grievances, requests, and quarrels. He still doesn’t speak often but when he does he’s beginning to realise that people actually listen. He is a valued resource, an elder of the clan, he is given reverence beyond what he expects or feels worthy of. The only thing for it is to try and eventually be worthy of his clan. The dragon he spends the most time with and is currently courting, if you listen to the rumors floating around the higher ups, is Idun .
