Born from the union of two brilliant minds, Mariposa has a natural knack for solving alchemical problems though they interest her little. Just as her namesake, she finds herself drawn to flowering plants and the science of raising them. Despite her Southern Icefield heritage, she's a skilled horticulturist who enjoys tending to her garden and creating ever more stunning flowers. While the resulting plants may be delicious, she finds she enjoys the task far more for the beauty they produce.

- Hatchling Biography -
The child of two brilliant minds, Mariposa was a bright, albeit quiet hatchling. Never a fussy one, she picked up on things quickly though said little. For a time it was uncertain if she could even speak until one day she surprised her mother by asking about an animal she'd seen. Despite her relative silence, she was a happy child who displayed considerable curiosity in the things happening around her.

- Adolescent Biography -
Mariposa's curiosity only grew with age. She liked to explore though in the Southern Icefield this had to be done carefully so as to not find herself lost in a snowstorm. When not out exploring or winning snow-ball fights, the young Skydancer could often be found in her father's workshop, curled in a nook, reading away.

It wasn't until a trip to the Trading Post that Mariposa came to realize just how vibrant life outside the Icefield was. She found herself enamored with the variety of blooming plants she saw, different from the tough coniferous life she was so accustomed too. Though she was warned that such plants couldn't live in the Icefield, the Skydancer still asked if she could have some seeds. Not wishing to see her hopes dashed, a compromise was made and Mariposa was allowed Winterbelle Seeds. Ecstatic, she wasted no time on setting things up when she got back to the lair. It took time but, after a failed attempt or two, she was eventually able to raise a flowering plant.

- Adult Biography -
Time passed and though Mariposa loved the flowers she'd tended to, she found herself wanting more vibrancy and color. It seemed it was time for her to find her way in the world and to seek a location more suitable for her work. She said her goodbyes and took her leave to the mainland.

On the mainland, Mariposa spent months traveling and documenting the various blossoms she came across. She took thorough notes, detailing the conditions under which the various wildelife seemed to thrive. She seemed destined for the Viridian Labyrinth..at least until a trip to the Sunbeam Ruins.

While at the Sunbeam Ruins, Mariposa found a particular species that intrigued her greatly. She took more time than normal, staying in the area for several weeks to get seeds and take notes. During this time an older Skydancer by the name of Eshan stumbled across her....multiple times. He seemed kind though he tested her patience on a few occasions. After getting angry and telling him to leave, she ceased seeing him for some time only to find that she missed his presence. When they next met, Mariposa invited him out. This started their relationship and ever since the two have been inseparable.

Mariposa joined the clan and since has created an elaborate garden with impressive hybrids and new species. She takes trips to other regions with the ambassadors on occasion, so that she can continue to collect information and find blooms that might cross well.

- Additional Notes-
* Mariposa helps Xamarri figure out complex alchemical problems. The fact that it comes so easy to Mariposa annoys Xamarri. The older Skydancer wishes Mariposa would apply herself as she believes Mariposa could one day reach the same status as Baldwin.

* Mariposa regularly supplies flowers to Paravin and Alarei to sell at market.

* Mariposa only really opens up around Eshan.

*Mariposa sends flowers back to her parents in the Southern Icefields. While this is partially to show them her work, she also hopes it'll brighten their day/lairs.
