Gayla can be a bit condescending, preferring to look down her snout at others. She carries herself with pride and detests a dragon that lacks bravery or dedication to a cause.

Not only does she look down upon such dragons, she also has an odd taste when it comes to her hoard. Some prefer to call it barbaric or disgusting, but she calls it priding oneself in your work. Trophies of past enemies are dominant in her stash of prized possessions and it is one of the few things she enjoys discussing with others - their past conquests and being able to brag to each other about their blood-stained trophies.

Those trophies of course, can be anything she deems noteworthy. Tusks, Helmets, Pelts, and even live captives. She has never captured a live creature herself - generally taking much more thrill in the hunt itself over anything a captured being could do for her. When hunting, her primary focus is to conquer. She does not want to make friends and she does not want to go home empty-clawed. What she does want, are prizes. Though perhaps having a captive waiting after battle could be useful… She does need something to laugh at sometimes.

Not only are such beings useful - they are also a good way to flaunt her status in the clan. She’s never known the struggle of not having enough funds or resources. Ever since she was a hatchling she has had whatever she asked for. In her original clan, she was known as being heavily pampered and praised - which she has never been able to stop desiring.

A little known fact though, is that she has a secret soft spot for hatchlings. Of course she does not make this public - it weakens her image. But really, they’re just far too adorable for her to resist. It’s always a struggle to shove away the little ones and to upset them just to preserve her previously mentioned image. They always toddle away, head down and tears at the corners of their eyes. Guilt shreds her insides but she refuses to appear weak.
