Biography
An orphan of his own design, Thomas was raised by the wind, sky, and his own eternal wanderlust. From birth he could hear the sound of the whispering grasses calling his name, and the creaking of the trees as the essence of the Windsinger wove between them murmuring to him, beckoning him into the wilds.
Carried by his wings on the wind, Thomas journeyed with no purpose but his ceaseless lust for knowledge and experience. With each mile he traveled he learned, and with each dragon he met he grew. From the scarred wastes of the Plaguebringer to the lush northern paradise of the Gladekeeper, Thomas wandered, always learning more and never staying long.
For years Thomas was alone, except for the times that he wasn't. Along the way he often gathered stragglers without a purpose or a cause, lost in their own lives and needing a reason to continue on, but always they drifted off in the end, leaving Thomas once again to his silent meanderings.
Genesis was not the first to join him, but she was the first to stay, followed by Phillip, a scarred, lonely old warrior with nothing left and no one to miss him. It wasn't long before he was joined by one mated pair of coatls, then another. His traveling party had become large, unwieldy, and impractical.
Sensibility caused Thomas to stop moving, to settle the group of nomads on the windswept plateau of his origins. He'd always expected to leave them, but as time passed he realized that he had become the unlikely patriarch of a large and growing clan of the most unlikely of comrades. Some had nothing left where they'd come from, some were refugees of a war-ravaged land, and still others were simply looking for a sense of family and security. They all came for their own reasons that resulted in a burning sense of loyalty for their clan, the kin of their own choosing.
