Marana is the eponymous leader of the clan's Death strain, as well as the local bone-obsessed vulture culture icon. Bone collecting is an important part of the Death strain and Vilomaxus Cruentu as a whole, and Marana is a certified(tm) expert at it. When she's not out hunting down specimens for her collections, she instructs her fellow bone enthusiasts in proper preparation, cleaning, and handling of specimens.

Her role in Vilomaxus Cruentu is not only "quirky scavenger"; she is also the main dragon in charge of funerary rituals for deceased clan members. Her royal strain of corpse cleaners has the honor of picking their remains clean before they can be engraved and put to rest.
