Penned in a hand that is elegant and in an ancient writing style in a high tongue reads a small letter written on papyrus and scented with lavender and the fresh blossoms of a garden hidden in secret from all but two...

Dearest Farin, the man for whom I sing and dance,

It is long since last I have seen you as you journey forth to realms I can only dream of, spoken in a tone I can only hear in your voice as it casts itself upon the wind. I long to hear your voice as you speak of your travels, of the world, of all the places I can only hope one day to see...once this is all over. Once I have a form of freedom to go with you as I ache to. But I must suffice with my dreams, where I can meet you and be held by you as the nights grow long and cold, the stars affixed to the cold, dark moonlit sky.

As my heart aches to see your red sun-lit hair upon the dunes, distinctive and breathtaking, even as you hide it from the wind and sand that disturbs its peace. Or to hear the call of Cerva as she announces your return to me... Longing is the word I can only hope to offer you, aches, and heart pangs I have never felt with any other.

May you know my heart sings to you on the wind, and dances with you under every moon-touched sky. Know that when I think of you there is only affection and hope... As I pray it is the same for you.
