Ask anyone and they'll tell you plenty of things about Jay. "He's a wonderful boy, so curious and witty." "He puts his claws to good use, constantly tinkering, that one." "Eh, too chatty for me. Kid needs to learn when to shut his trap." "He'll make a great inventor some day."

But a warrior? And of the type that needs to be silent? "Not a chance," they'll tell you. "Not Jay. He not serious, not focused, too jumpy for the life of a warrior."

Goes to show what they know. Jay is a warrior, and a highly skilled one too. His lightning-fast brain and sharp reflexes give him an edge to his battles, and with his team by his side, he's nigh unstoppable.

These team members have become like family to him, and it's not uncommon to see their small group doing everything from flying to sleeping to eating together. In fact, it's a rare sight to see any of them by themselves. Jay thrives off their closeness, feeling full of love and happiness each time someone chooses to spend time with him.

BACKSTORY

____Jay was born in a junkyard within the Stormcatcher's territory. He grew up surrounded by spare parts and scrap metal, constantly creating and exploring, building his first robot as just a hatchling. Granted, all it did was repeatedly slam into walls, but it was still an accomplishment and one he was proud of.

____As Jay grew older, however, he found that the junkyard just couldn't satisfy his needs and desires. He wanted to learn, to expand, and he felt that he couldn't do so as the walls of his home seemed to shrink in on themselves. And so he left, one cheery afternoon after a tearful goodbye to his parents, and set off to find somewhere to help him flourish.

____This opportunity presented itself when he stumbled upon a gaggle of dragons at the Trading Post. They were talking about a fight that would take place later that day, and intrigued, he followed them to the arena. The display of power was stunning. Jay couldn't get the image of the victor looping is proud circles above his opponent out of his head for days.

____Fighting was all he could think about. He wanted to be like that, a warrior, strong and proud and not afraid of anything. He sought out a trainer, eventually finding one in the Molten Scar who was willing to take him on if he would work as a mechanic for him. Jay spent his days renovating and his nights training. It was there that he met Impetus and Nympha, a Imperial and Coatl who'd grown up together and who would soon become his new teammates.
