Shashin

Its an interesting tale of how Shashin came to be employed as a scribe for the Stone Eaters. Someone, and I'm not saying who, survived an assassination attempt by not only thwarting the attack but turning the whole thing into a double-cross. A dragon did die that night, but that dragon definitely wasn't the one who Shashin had been paid to kill. Shashin moves in the shadows with a smile on his face, and he takes orders from Alala only. Many dragons have raised eyebrows at this situation, but Alala doesn't care to address the issue and Reienne's advice was to say, "Look, if Alala can keep him in line then for heaven's sake, leave well enough alone! He's dead useful to have around and I mean that quite literally."

Shashin originally needed shelter from the people who were very angry with him for switching sides, so he went into deep cover as the Stone Eaters new factotum/scribe. He has settled in nicely, and if he occasionally slips off in the middle of the night and returns with a wet dagger, well. No one has complained yet.
