Beithioch

Beithioch is the clan's patriarch: a strong, silent type who only speaks or acts when he truly feels a need. Most of the time he can be found curled up on the large outcropping of rock at the edge of the Rippling Glade's pool, soaking in the sun despite his thick fur, keeping watch over everything while his hat keeps the light out of his eyes. He keeps the peace with the help of the basilisk that patrols the borders of the Glade... any hostile dragons are brought before him, and once he and the Glade's council have had time to consider, those considered a true and permanent threat are given three warnings. After those three warnings have been squandered, the offender will be turned to stone.
