Mokume

As Summer fades away in order for Autumn to take its place, one must marvel at the beauty of the once-green forest becoming a vibrant display of orange, red, and yellow. Suddenly, what was mistaken as a single leaf fluttering down from the flaming canopy takes flight, and reveals itself as an Autumn-toned Fae.
"Dear me!" the lively leaf declares, in a surprisingly soft and wispy voice. "I did not mean to startle you! I am Moku, matriarch of the Clan of Selcouth Light and resident botany enthusiast." Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear why this gentle being was so difficult to observe among the plethora of foliage. What initially appeared to be fiery leaves were actually Mokus translucent wings, and the "branches" observed from the ground were simply her tawny antlers. Then there was the matter of her well-camouflaged tail, which seemed to be...slithering?
"Oh! Where are my manners? This is Sunspark, my familiar and catalographer. Say hello Sunspark!" Sure enough, tightly wrapped around the Faes tail is a young Ultramel Amphithere, who nods and flaps his own colorful plumage in greeting. "I had best be getting back to my research" Moku hums, "but it was lovely to meet you!"
Stepping back, Moku and her radiant companion spiral back up into the rich and colorful canopy, and are soon easily lost in the swirling leaves.
