Khaleesi
Former Queen, Elemental Dragon

Khaleesi was born of the south wind and the Windsinger's whispers, the very air itself winding beneath her wings even as she took her first breath in the world. Her south wind deposited her in the Zephyr Steppes, and the west wind brought her Coriolus, a dragon she fell in love with and with whom she started a clan.

Clan Clouddrifter was small at first, though it would eventually grow large enough to join the Cloudsong floating islands. Through hard, diligent work, Clouddrifter grew and grew. Outgrowing the Zephyr Steppes, outgrowing the Reedcleft ascent, eventually throwing their whole clan into the sky, the winds which has so gladly borne aloft Khaleesi and Coriolus since their births.

However, at the peak of their power, disaster struck. An illness swept through the clan, causing many to prefer ascending into the care of the Windsinger, rather than risk an illness that seemed without end.

Before Khaleesi and Coriolus ascended together, unwilling to be parted from each other even a short while, Khaleesi passed control of her clan to Reyson. She trusted him to keep their clan alive and thriving, while she petitioned the Windsinger for help, for guidance. And she was not wrong.

Speaking to the Windsinger took much longer than she anticipated, and by the time she returned to her clan, they had sworn allegiance to the Earthshaker, who had given them shelter in the very shadow of the Pillar of the World. Shocked by their new surroundings, and homesick for the kite-cities of her homeland, Khaleesi stuck even closer to Coriolus, as she learned each new member of her clan.

Leaving ruling the clan to Tailto, Reyson's heir and adopted daughter, Khaleesi finds great joy in being the south wind's advocate to her clan, flitting gleefully between the rocks and about the corners just like the wind's child she is.
