Strategist of Icefield Activites
Vindicta organizes ice exploration, expedition and other activities of the like. "Like fragile ice, anger passes away in time." A young expeditioner with one goal - to find, conquer and explore. He's done pretty well so far and has seen many sights that have changed his life. Other - Character Traits: Challenging, Mindful, Open-Minded, Rebellious, Benevolent - Sin vs. Virtue: Envy/Diligence - He is a bisexual. - Vindicta has no parents and was believed to be borne out of the Icewarden's own blizzards. He's a first generation dragon. - Likes: Clouds, Extreme Weather, Danger, Poetry - Dislikes: Literally nothing? - Secret(s): ? - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, silvery ivy stands for dependence and attachment. - His frozen goblin is named Icesickle. - Vindicta is a thrill junkie, chasing danger. - He is one of the youngest dragons in the clan besides Peregrine and Isaac. Its due to his age that his abilities are doubted. - He likes to brag about the sights he sees and the creatures he meets. Sights can be displayed as gifs at the bottom of this page. - Vindicta was the first among the Lavaburst dragons to come across the Blooming Grove. - Vindicta always keeps cocoa in his bags. There's also some poetry and some bandages in there as well. Origin Story Vindicta became Vindicta when he broke out of the Fortress of the Ends, frozen chains trailing from his wings and limbs. But before this- before his life of exploration and glory, he was Vinson. No one quite knew where Vinson came from. All the village elders always told him that they found an unhatched egg during the Night of Nocturne. Never knowing where he truly came from never really bothered him. "What I don't know can't hurt me." he would say. His village was small and quite primitive with the houses consisting blocks of snow or sealskin tents. None of the families ever took him in and he lived largely alone in his youth. He didn't mind this either and would spend many of his days in the woods nearby, exploring the mazes of pines and battling wolves when they got too close. He'd find small caves and teach himself to read, feeling the script as he read tales of adventurers. However, after many, many years of living a life among dragons who didn't care for him, he finally found a friend. His name was Talon. It had been a long day of exploring that same forest and Vinson had been seeking shelter in a cave. He had already settled in when he felt the ground shook. Behind him, a mass of white fur stood. It regarded with him with an intelligent blue stare before clapping him on the back and bellowing a hearty laugh. "What brings you to this cave, child?" he asked. Talon exchanged with him great stories of his adventures. He told how he left his village for glory and now he goes around and hunts monsters. Vinson was so amazed that he begged to be taken as Talon's apprentice. Now living with his idol, Vinson was introduced to Talon's work. He hunted down and captured Shade creatures. Talon taught him many different skills from how to use an ice pick to how to cook every single animal in the Southern Icefield. However every time Talon caught a monster, he would disappear for a few days. He always said he was leaving to "turn them in". One time, in secret, Vinson decided to follow him. That's when he met the Gaolers. Vinson discovered his teacher owed a debt to the Gaolers. It was either catch monsters for him or be jailed in the Fortress of Ends itself. When Vinson was caught by the Gaolers, Talon did not want to associate with him. So, he told the Gaolers that Vinson was possessed by the Shade. Vinson spent the next few years of his life in the Fortress of Ends before breaking free. He renamed himself Vindicta, for he would vindicate himself and hunt down his former teacher. He set out to hunt him down, caught in his bloodlust, but would faint due to starvation a few days later. Luckily, he was found by the Lavaburst Clan. Over the next few years, he was rehabilitated, learning to make peace with himself (but not with his teacher). He gave up his quest for revenge and instead shifted his love for adventure towards expeditions.
