Jean

Jean has always had to live with the knowledge that she is the daughter of Kratos, the nocturne prince who tore apart the monarchy by challenging his mother's authority. This information has never bothered her much, she sees herself as her own dragon and she knows her connections to her dead father are few and far between.

In her early stages of life, she was raised by her grandparents, the queen, Adrika, and her pirate mate, Cawthorne. If anything, Jean takes after her grandfather. He taught her to fly his ship at a very young age.

It is because of those lessons that Jean has become the captain of her grandfather's ship, the Adrika, after her grandparent's deaths and the expansion of the Inn Over Yonder. It is she that pilots the Inn through the skies of the windswept plateau, and as a result, is responsible for the safety of all the staff and guests. She takes on this responsibility with pride, as she could imagine no other life than one soaring through the sky in her grandfather's ship.

Jean spends most of her time alone, just the wind and clouds around her. She does not mind this solitude. She knows that many dragons look at her differently because they know who her father was. That does not mean she is without friends, however. She considers many of the dragons in the clan to be her friends. Lyra and Morrow visit her often when they are off duty, and she is especially close friends with the unofficial tour guide, Freya. The wildclaw shares her love for adventure, and sometimes pushed Jean to take risky routes through turbulent skies for the fun of it. Jean, as an adept pilot who already enjoyed flying through turbulent winds, is only too happy to comply. Jean does however, take more care to consider the safety of her passengers than Freya does.
