Sirius is a calm and thoughtful dragon. He loves books, stories, and adventure tales. He's often seen in Lygtiëm's library, where he stays most of the day. Sometimes, he even stays during the night. He has always dreamed of knowing how to fly, but being a Wildclaw, it is nothing more than an unattainable dream. It doesn't stop him from hoping that, one day, he'll be able to fly. Since childhood, he has been quite lonely. It only worsened after he realized he liked males. The library offers him a certain comfort, gives him the illusion that he is protected in the middle of books. He is rarely called upon, which allows him to enjoy the calm of the room, to dream even during the day. Dream about being loved, about having a family that accepts him for who he is... It's all a dream. He hopes that one day it'll become reality... He loves the night and stargazing. It is not uncommon for him to observe the sky at night, while everyone else is asleep, heading to the Observatory in the middle of the night hoping to see something extraordinary. He's a dreamer, and a big optimist; for him, as long as you believe in something, nothing is impossible. Unfortunately, the reality is there to remind him that he is very naive... Lucius, in particular, has a knack for tackling his beliefs, for shattering his dreams and hopes in a snap. To say that his relationship with Lucius is complex is just an understatement. They appreciate and respect each other... in their own way. Lucius is there to remind Sirius not to expect too much from life, while Sirius desperately tries to make the other understand that being less pessimistic is not a weakness. Lucius encourages his companion to be more selfish, while the latter would like him to be more selfless and altruistic... They rarely come to an agreement. Ask them to define their relationship precisely, and they will be unable to respond. They are friends, business partners, and mates. It is not rare for them to share a night of passion, and the next day to pretend nothing has happened. For Lucius, it's a way to relax, to have a good time with someone he likes. But for Sirius, it's a way of getting away from everything. To feel loved once in a while, whilst his lover whispers sweet nothings in his ear in the heat of the moment, complimenting him. And even though deep down Sirius knows that Lucius doesn't really mean it, he can't help but enjoy every second of it. Perhaps it's real. Perhaps Lucius really loves him, but doesn't know how to tell him? Sirius isn't sure he wants an answer to that question. All he wants is not to be alone, even if for that he has to swallow his own feelings and just... stay stuck in an illusion he created for himself. |
