A cruel twist of fate brought Kourlin back to the Citadel after years of being deceased, and unlike previous undead seems to recall everything about her former life. Including the betrayal of her ex-lover, Machtvoll. She had done her best to love and help him only for him to throw her aside and then eventually have her killed. As of now, she is absolutely furious about the betrayal, but doesn't seem at all interested in payback, or trying to get the clan back from him. She spends the majority of her time studying alone, or hanging about with the demons and mages of the clan, mostly to learn what they know. Machtvoll is somewhat unnerved by this, suspecting she may be turning his court against him, while Nyrnean is largely unconcerned about it. Kourlin has been approached a couple of times by Kourlan down in the catacombs while strolling with Z and is completely unimpressed with the dragon that was meant to replace her. She even went so far as to change her breed to make an obvious difference between herself and the fellow ex-queen. In all honesty, she finds the look-alike to be somewhat disturbing. Her relationship with the other dragons is unclear though when asked she makes a point to inform everyone that she should be seen as an outlier and left to her devices, choosing to maintain an air of professionalism despite her lack of an official title. She doesn't seem bothered about her rightful place as Queen sitting with Nyrnean, and has publicly stated that she would rather be one of Undertakers Court than sit in the throne again. |
