Well known for her stubborn front, Ninmah prefers to think of her self as resolute - what she says goes, but she claims she at least attempts to gentle her tone when the moment calls for it. What snark and bite she had in youth has been well worn into dry wit and long suffering amusement. Never strongly identified with a sense of "home," Ninmah is fiercely loyal and accommodating to those she deems her family - regardless of where they are. When Enten was injured and began working with herbs and poultices, Ninmah (less than) discretely began work on the Gardens to provide her with whatever materials she'd need. When her eldest daughter picked up arcane arts, she ensured she would have the best to work from in the Library of the Orrery. When her youngest chose instead the reclusive ways of earth magic - to the detriment of her relationship with her sister - Ninmah carved out the beginning of Haven herself. And when her grandson asked to be taught her old profession, she trained him until he could rival her in her youth. Some would perhaps call her overbearing, doting perhaps. But her family - her Clan - will have the best. Of that, she'll make sure.

Matriarch of the mercenary-turned-mercantile Clan Berosos, Ninmah is just as content to spend her days helping novice fighters learn the finer tricks of the trade as she is wandering the Gardens with her mate and Charge, Enten. She is a firm, stable hand in a fluid clan - few dragons come to stay, fewer follow through even if they have the intent. She has spent her time focusing clan efforts on building the Fleche into a haven for all who choose to pass through. However, years - decades - of hiding, moving, disappearing, leave their mark. The Fleche is purposefully in the farthest reaches of Northeast Dragonhome, with an intent that only those who truly wish to will find it. Despite the occasionally...unsavory aspects this type of solitude tends to attract, she has a claw in everything that happens in the Fleche, and nothing happens without either her or her mate's say-so. Many learn quite quickly that it would not do to upset a mercenary that has made it to a ripe old age. |

Ninmah is rarely found without Enten at her side, and this has been true for as long as any alive now can remember. Mandanu will attest to that, given that he's typically right there with them. The three of them formed the original Hanging Gardens, the mercenary band that blazed its way through Dragonhome before Enten's fall took them off the path. Together, they created the Hearth - and together, they mourned it's loss. Mandanu - and rarer, Enten - will sometimes speak of another dragon by the name of Sebitti. It is never mournful when they do, but still, it is never brought up in front of Ninmah. Her first mate was a soldier like the rest of them, and she cared for him deeply, cares for him still. But he is gone, and she is here. |
