...TRAGIC BACKSTORY
One day an arcane sprite named Roseshard happened across a ravaged arcane nest and was shocked to discover one egg had somehow survived unscathed. Roseshard worriedly read dozens of books on how to tend dragon eggs and consulted with healers of every type and even whispered a few heartfelt pleas to the Arcanist when it seemed that the egg would perish. But in spite of everything, the egg hatched and a "little" guardian girl peeped hungrily at Roseshard, who cried with joy and fed her adopted daughter until she was as round as her egg and sleeping contentedly curled up around the much smaller sprite.

...EARLY DAYS
The hatchling, whom Roseshard called her miracle baby, grew by leaps and bounds under the sprite's tender care. She wanted for nothing, except perhaps the company of other dragons. And when she was old enough Roseshard told her about her origin and her kind and Doomwarden chose her name and swore that when she had a tribe of her own, no one would be lost, no one would be forgotten, no one would be left behind.

...FOUNDING THE PRISMATORIUM
Soon after choosing her name Doomwarden met another dragon, a handsome male who called himself Wanderlust. It was a whirlwind affair and resulted in a clutch of eggs that would be needing a real home. With Roseshard and Wanderlust watching the nest, Doomwarden took it onto herself to find the perfect place to lair, which she found in the Starwood Strand. And while the tribe has grown over the years, and the lair expanded, they still think of the Starwood Strand as home.

...HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Doomwarden is often more serious than the other dragons in the Prismatorium, but it's only because she has seen first hand the dangers awaiting an unprepared dragon. Her daughter Coraline, and Ayako and Daydream, have shown her that being lighthearted doesn't mean you are shirking your duties. One day she opened what seemed a typical treasure chest and BANG! When she awoke she was no longer a Guardian but a Nocturn, but she found the change suited her just fine.
