Viola

Viola, born into a clutch of three eggs, has forgotten the family and birth clan that she left behind. She, along with her siblings, left on a journey called The Search as soon as she was old enough to live on her own. Being a Guardian dragon, Viola instinctively searched for the object, individual or place that she would protect for the rest of her life. Her search spanned over decades, much longer than any of her family's had and she had taken a vow of silence that stipulated that she must not speak until the charge that she would stand watch over became clear to her.

After years of endless searching Viola came upon the charge that she felt inclined to protect, a small Imperial dragon. For days Viola protected the young dragon, put her life on the line for the young dragon, and it seemed that as soon as the pair bonded the gods willed that Viola's happiness mustn't last. In the lapse of a night the young dragon had become lost and it was with all of her will that Viola searched for the young dragon, yet the dragon was never found.

Now, Viola has all but given up her search. She lives in eternal shame for having lost her charge and she has not spoken a word since the disappearance of the young dragon. A pale flame burns in the depths of her heart however, a pale hope that somehow, someday the young dragon will once again return to her.
