ArchMagus - Bard - Artist - Alchemist

Archmagus and alchemist Corvus is the direct heir of the previous clan leader, Julianus, headmaster of the school, and is an artist and alchemist of many talents. He has a twin brother named Cronus and their biological father is Razsha.

Younger or newer dragons often find him intimidating as he is a dragon of very few words and regularly distances himself from social gatherings or large amounts of noise and chatter. Many mistake this for coldness and a penchant for isolation, but he is truly very approachable and kind-hearted, with a particular softness for hatchlings and his mate, Eri.

He is extremely powerful-- a gift and a curse that was bred down into him from his obnoxiously overpowered mother, though not so powerful as his twin, who was mutilated for his power.

Corvus puts a lot of effort into keeping a calm and calculated demeanor, valuing cold logic and an even temper above many other things-- an endeavor that proves a great challenge when considering his best-kept secret: a short fuse that he struggles to keep in check. He can be ill-tempered, snappish, and brooding.

Though he does a great effort of not creating or participating in negative situations or confrontations, he is extremely protective and all bets are off when a loved one or member of his clan are in danger or have gotten themselves in some kind of trouble.

All facades and scripts are thrown away as he charges into the rescue, fangs bared and ‘guns blazing’ so-to-speak, willing to destroy anything and anyone-- including himself-- without a second thought in a warpath until the danger is gone and everyone's safe.

Corvus views himself as dangerous around others, which is why he works so hard at his facade of placidness. Left to his devices, he is prone to alienating himself from everyone, isolating himself in his lab for extensive periods of time-- feeding into others’ misconceptions of him as an anti-social recluse and continuing to perpetuate the cycle.

That is where Eri comes in, bathing his mate in the validation and attention he regularly denies himself for fear of ridicule or of hurting others, lavishing him in affection and doting after him, much to the elder’s chagrin.

____His mate Eri became a shining beacon of hope when he joined the Kelpie Clan, bringing an element of light-hearted (and at times mischievous) energy to their daily lives ever since.

Corvus adores Eri and his penchant for playfulness, often relying on the younger skydancer to remind him that it’s okay to be soft and silly! He loves Eri for his whimsical energy and proactive habits, but he especially admires him for his brash, gritty, and fearless attitude.

Unlike Corvus's own fear of acting out and making waves, Eri is unyielding, dauntless, and willing to step on some toes to get his point across or to disprove of falsities! Corvus sees his mate as confident, strong, controlled, and powerful, where he sees himself as feeble, meek, volatile, and ‘boring’.

Although he has a hard time expressing it, Corvus is really a very playful and light-hearted dragon who only wants to love and help others, and aspires to have an extensive family!

Eri brings out the best in him.

_JULIANUS_

____Julian was not always the most emotionally nurturing of dragons, and was at times known to be incredibly cold to his young sons. His need to be strong for them and protect then often made Julian seem aloof and stern, because he did not want to bring his hatchlings fear.

As both hatchlings were born with an alarming concentration of magic, they were a beacon for the Shade. The iceborn Magus would attempt to flee to his icy homelands to protect them but wherever he took them the fear of that looming threat never subsided.

Taking a calculated risk, Julian assembled other mages and cast an enchantment upon the younger twin (Cronus) to conceal his power and make him a less appealing target, but it left him scarred for life.

Despite everything, Corvus looks up to his father and was proud to follow in his footsteps as an arcane professor.

Their relationship may appear tense from the outside, but they are very close and love each other very much.
