Exile group: Reef Riffraff Archivist: It is the duty of the archivist to ensure the clan’s library and records are well kept and organized. This includes reorganizing books that have been put in the wrong place and repairing or rewriting books that have been damaged. The archivist also watches over the lock room of forbidden books and records to provide another safeguard against thieves and overly curious clan members. Voice of the Council: The voice of the council keeps the bonfire at the center of the lair going and periodically makes announcements about the clan to the clan members there. In his teenage years Mai joined the gatherers, but that soon came to a halt. One day he fell asleep on the job Light and Dark signaled the gatherers to pull out and he was almost left behind. That was how Mai discovered he had narcolepsy. Prior to this incident he had been drowsy during the day, but thought it was only related to his trouble sleeping. Mai was given a job in the archives. Mai was told he was lucky because archivist was much more prestigious a job than gatherer. Despite this he didn’t feel lucky. He didn’t not like being in the stuffy archive with no one, but the mute scribe, Daisy, to talk to. He gathered up his courage and asked to change jobs. His request was granted and he became the voice of the council. No one minds him falling asleep in the middle of an announcement. However they have warned him not to lean over the fire because once or twice they have had to put out parts of his clothing when he fell asleep a little to near the flame.
