Piral

Piral was the one who built a lair on the Lesser Lairs of the Tsunami Flats, and is the founder of his clan with the help of his mate, Maple. Indeed, he is clan leader by name, but in reality shares his duties out with Maple.

He has mated for life with Maple, and helped her to give birth to children who would occupy the clan. These children aspire to one day be exalted to the Tidelord by the spirit voice of a human from a faraway land who watches over and guides this clan. But Piral himself doesn't wish to be exalted, but instead stay and watch over his lair and clan until his death.

He and Maple also take in dragons from other sources, sometimes found as abandoned eggs or brought in by the spirit guide. He takes care of them well as if they were his own children.

Piral, despite his ferocious appearance, is in fact cheerful, light-hearted and playful. He has a knack for adventure and would go on any adventure he can dig up with his claws. He is a little absent minded and can't seem to concentrate on one thing at a time, a bit of a scatter-brain, really. And it's Maple who has to help him get back on track to finish what he's started.

Due to his wingspan being much smaller than his body length, he's a bad flier, and can't stay in the air for long. However, he's a good swimmer, and is able to travel long distances over water and land. He likes to allow Maple, who is much smaller than him, ride on his back as he swims and walks.
