Biography
Tolkien - Kjaer's Firstborn Son
It was a wonderful day when a nest hatched, but even more so when that particular nest had so much potential.
Kjaer had never been happier. Baesner was still in the process of growing up as her first adopted baby. Kjaer had trusted Ragnar to be the father of her nest. With no official father, SkogRidder took it upon himself to watch over her. Kjaer made sure he kept his distance but it put everyone in the clan at ease that there was a male dragon to check in on her every few hours.
I myself was with the nest twenty four seven. Buddy kept me up to date as to the on goings of the rest of the island. The good news, not much. Everyone was in anticipation waiting for the nest to hatch.
When it did Kjaer was curled around her little son. Baesner was sitting just behind her, ears kicked forward with interest. I sat just outside of her tail, waiting. The first little crack appeared and a paw broke through. I smiled, but not wider than Kjaer. Next his head cracked through the bottom of the egg. Kjaer gently moved his head back inside so he could explode out with all four paws.
Tolkien. A fitting name for the little fellow. A spitting image of his father, his blue was just a hair lighter, and his brown a tad richer.
Baesner purred softly and sniffed his little brother. Tolkien took his head in his front paws and purred in return. Buddy of course couldn't resist making an appearance to see one of his grandchildren. Neither could Autumn though she knew to keep her distance. As big as she was she might scare the poor little newborn.
