Once, there was a legend of lesser dragon deity. This legend has been mostly lost in time, but it is said that the deity blessed a small, impoverished kingdom, so that crystals grew from the ground and the sun always shone. His gift brought the kingdom great prosperity, and those living there began to worship the deity. After many years of greatness, the kingdom fell due to conquest as many outsiders desired the land's abundant crystals. Overtime, the conquerors stripped the land of its beauty by harvesting as many crystals as possible and over farming the previously rich soil. While the names of the deity and the kingdom have been lost, scholars have given the deity the name "Rainbow Dragon," after the rainbows of colors made by the crystals and Rainbow Ruins, the remains of the capitol of the kingdom. Some speculate, however, there might be few who have loyally passed down the deity's name and still honor them. When the kingdom in its zenith, the monarch created a guild of skilled warriors to protect the land and honor Rainbow Dragon. This guild was named the Gem Beasts as all of its members took their names from gemstones and animals. These warriors humbly severed the kingdom to keep peace. After the kingdom fell, it was said that the Guild disbanded, but today there remains several dragons who strive to restore the kingdom and continue to honor Rainbow Dragon... |

Johan, born to a toy maker and a silk weaver, had always been an interesting dragon. He has a natural ability to cultivate crystals, has keen sense of duty and honor, has a strong desire to protect and save others, and, as it turns out, he is a descendant from the Crystal Protector, Head Knight of the Gem Beasts and possible monarch of a kingdom said to be lost. Growing up his mother often told him stories of the legends from which they descend, but it wasn't until he met Ruby Carbuncle, a descendant of the Gem Beasts, did he realize the validity of those tales. Since then, he and Ruby have been questing to rebuild the lost country and to find others who have blood in their kingdom.
Currently, they are setting up a base of operations in our camp. As it so has it, Sprite has taken an interest in their quest and acts as a patron to the party. |
