Venus has served an armorsmith named Nephrite for many years, warming his forges, guarding him, and most importantly dueling his potential clients. He refuses to work for dragons he hasn't seen fight, and even then scares many away with unusual requests and his crotchety personality. Playing along, however, has given her exposure to fighting techniques all over Sorneith and to Nephrite's constant critique.
Weapon(s) of choice: Claws | sickle-claws on hind feet | Rather than relying on steel, Venus keeps her natural talons honed, using them to strike and parry as another dragon might use a pair of swords. The toes of her boots are also curved into hooked claws, and although the metal isn't sharp enough to penetrate tough dragon hides they're perfect for clinging to cliff-faces or kinks in larger dragon's armor.

Fighting Strengths: Because she lives with Nephrite her own armor has been subject to endless adjustments and experimentation. It fits her like a second skin, each joint carefully crafted to limit inevitable loss of movement and visibility.
Her sparring with Nephrite's clients is focused largely on testing what the other needs in armor, and as such her mind is fixated on finding weak points and where the opponent leaves themselves unguarded. She is fast as well, and attentive to small changes in stance that may indicate intentions.
Fighting Weaknesses: Venus has short, broad wings, which are excellent for tight maneuvers and quick takeoffs, but not ideal for prolonged flight. She tends to fly in short bursts and will tire quickly if her opponent keeps her in the air.
As a user of strong magic Venus is particularly vulnerable to her opposing elements of earth, water, and shadow. Her magic attacks are in turn less effective against fire resistant elements, especially earth and fire, at which point she'd have to rely largely on melee.
Venus is impulsive, and years of careful discipline can largely disappear in the fray of battle. An opponent that can get her emotionally engaged would not have a hard time luring her into fighting wastefully and spending unnecessary amounts of energy.
While the Grotto doesn't condone unnecessariy violence, Venus is eager for an opportunity to fight for real, instead of carefully controlled duels to test clients. She has no everyday outlet for her wildness, and little way to know where her limits lie in producing flame. She wants to know what it's like to fight without having to hold back. Her backstory is under construction, so I'm not sure where she first learned to fight, but she's been exposed to the fineries of her fighting style through her work with Nephrite. While heavily trained for melee, any attacks with fire are raw and based in instinct due to a lack of opportunities to practice without ruining campsites.

Magic: Pyromancy | While largely unrefined, Venus has a strong and rather volatile affinity for fire. Her pauldrons, being something of are portable forge, are naturally searing hot and opponents that touch them directly are likely to be burned. Her armor in general can withstand a great deal of heat, making it unadvisable to grab anything metal once she's started fighting or forging with fire (of course, throat, wing, and tail are unprotected in that sense). It wouldn't be out of character for her to attempt to set herself on fire, either.

Familiar: Sundew- a group of carnivorous plants named after the sticky droplets on the ends of their trichomes.
A creature with as volatile a personality as herself. Not many other dragons can safely approach her.
