Xavier

Xavier grew up in a well off family, raised away from the war and fighting. He'll never tell you that though. If you ask Xavier, he was raised by a general who made sure his son knew what war was and how to command armies. In actuality, his father was a politician who supported the war effort but made no effort to help either side. As it turns out, the apple didn't fall far from the tree and Xavier ended up the same way. While Xavier acts as a recruiter for the war, he doesn't care if they actually end up fodder. The few that stay he rarely ever talks to and the hundreds that become fodder. "The terrible costs of war."

But Xavier can't get them to march in knowing their deaths. So instead of telling them about how they'll probably make it one week before a beast clan finds them, he tells them stories about his father, the "great war general". He talks about how one person can change the world and about all the adventures they'll have. He'll ramble on about the riches that await them, the army general who changed the course of the war. He makes them feel like they have a purpose, like they belong. And those that stay haven't notice this yet, right?
