Djoda

You approach the red-winged nocturne, who pauses in her methodical cleaning of fish to greet you. "I'm Djoda, nice to meet you," she says in a calm, measured voice. "I'm part of the lair guard, but since Laraek and Sventlin are on duty and Tonash requested some help, I'm assisting with the fish today." The pink nocturne next to her waves as his name is mentioned, and Djoda nods briefly in acknowledgement. "Neither of us are really fish-eaters, but the good of the clan is a goal worth working for, whatever the job. My mother, Ikliss, will at least be happy - she's supposed to be returning home today from the Starfall Isles, and she'll certainly be hungry afterwards." Djoda briefly cracks a smile, then turns back to the fish. "On that note, I should finish these. See you later, perhaps."

Ikliss brought Djoda's egg back from Dragonhome and was rather dodgy about where she obtained it, but she was insistent that Aussir be the one to raise it, so Aussir begrudgingly took the egg. Ikliss dashed back out of the lair shortly after, leaving Aussir to wonder just what exactly she'd gotten involved in, but too busy sitting on a dang earth egg to go find out. At least Nuara was excited to have a little sibling.
Djoda hatched a healthy little nocturne (surprising Aussir, who quite frankly was kinda expecting a tundra) and Aussir named her after an old clanmate of his who'd died in one of his old clan's many bloody battles. Nuara excitedly toted her new sister around, showing off her best friends and her lab projects, while Aussir fumbled his way through teaching Djoda how to speak, read, write, fight, and be a dragon in general. Ikliss returned every now and then as usual, seemingly having resolved whatever issue resulted in Djoda, and bringing trinkets from her travels. Djoda took a particular interest in fighting, and she eagerly soaked up lessons from Aussir. Djoda joined the lair guard once she was old enough, and she enjoys keeping watch on the mists around the lair for visitors, uninvited or otherwise.
Djoda has a great deal of patience and maturity for so young a dragon, which makes her a solid addition to the lair guard. She enjoys spending quiet evenings hunting or just hanging out with her family, and is particularly happy when Ikliss is around to join them. Djoda knows that Ikliss knows where she came from, but she hasn't yet pressed Ikliss for details yet, as she has a feeling she won't like what she hears.
