Biography
Sunny was terribly lost in the desert. She didn't know where her mama was. She couldn't find her papa. She'd simply woken up here, curled up in a small ball, warmed by the desert sun. She cried out once, twice, three times... but no one came.
The little Snapper had tears in her eyes. She stared down into the sand, wishing she could fly away and back to her home. How had she gotten here? Did her mama and papa leave her behind? Or was this all a terrible nightmare?
"Hello there, little one."
Sunny looked up to greet the owner of this gentle voice. A kind old Spiral was staring down at her. At first, the hatchling was startled and hid behind her wings. The Spiral chuckled.
"No need to be afraid," he assured her. She peeked out from her wings.
"Mama said not to talk to strangers," she replied, shaky and shy.
"Then why don't we get to know each other a bit, hm?" the Spiral suggested. "Then we won't be strangers anymore. My name is Galio. Who are you?"
Sunny was starting to inch closer. Her eyes were wide and curious. "I'm Sunny. I'm lost. Can you help me?"
"Of course," Galio said. He lifted her up and wrapped her tiny claws around his neck. "Hold on tight; I'm taking you to my clan. They can surely help you."
And together, the two strange friends took off.
Not far from where they had been, two graves had been jaggedly stuck in the sand. They did not have names, nor did they seem to have anything buried beneath them. But the graves were marked with the claw prints of a Snapper. In front of each grave was a jar, filled with ashes as black as the night sky. And between them sat a scroll. The words on it were faded, but one could tell it was a spell. A spell to erase the memories of a dragon and turn them into a hatchling... forever...
