Please call me Jarvan. Born on the Day of Wintermirth, I bear the namesake of my mother's royal ancestors. Growing up, I have always loved reading and writing a plethora of books. As such, I have dedicated my life in serving as the Archivist of House Dragonborn.
Come, sit down and have some tea while I share with you our family's vast history. I trust that you will treasure our family's deepest secrets..."
The Early Years
"I always have some trouble on how to tell our clan founders' lives as separate stories.
You see, on the night they fled from the faraway country that they used to call home, their lives intertwined into one. As you already know, Grand Matriarch Shyvana the Ice Drake is the founder of our clan, House Dragonborn. Even in her aging years, she is still a beautiful and powerful dragon in her own right, well respected by all within House Dragonborn. But indeed, she and Grand Patriarch Jarvan IV the Exemplar had it rough in their early years.
They were delighted with the birth of their first 3 children, the youngest being a male heir. Unfortunately, only the youngest had survived to adulthood and continued the House Dragonborn bloodline...
Let me see if I can find the old archives that had the first three children's history... Certainly, my dear mate Katheryne the Necrologist had wrote it eloquently in a parchment somewhere... Ah, here it is!"
October 15, 2021: The Sunken Shipwreck Incident
All I could hear were wails of grief roaring throughout the halls of House Dragonborn.
Grand Matriarch Shyvana mourned for days upon hearing the tragic news.
Her son, Jarvan V, along with his mate Galene, had drowned. They, along with their daughter Hyacinth, were patrolling an area that was said to have a sunken shipwreck. Unfortunately, they were ambushed by a school of Marens. Hyacinth was the only one who managed to return and alerted us for help.
But by the time our clan members arrived back to the site, Jarvan V and Galene were nowhere in sight.
We scouted for days on end trying to search for them. Until tonight.
We were horrified to find their decaying bodies within the heart of the sunken shipwreck. We managed to retrieve their remains, cremated them, and gave them a proper funeral. My mate Katheryn carefully took their ashes and interred them in our columbarium.
My heart is heavy. I can barely hold my pen to document this incident. Sedna, another one of Jarvan V's daughters, has been noticeably crestfallen but also eerily quiet. She hasn't spoken a word since the incident.
Somehow, I cannot shake this feeling that something is amiss...
Hyacinth (January 02, 2015 - March 15, 2022)
Within House Dragonborn, there were three family lines that were descended from Jarvan V, son of Shyvana and Jarvan IV: the Lightshields, the Darkglaives, and the Azurebows. These three family branches formed the Triumvirate Lines, a council of dragonborn who exercised their talents and skills to better serve the true heir of House Dragonborn.
Daughter of Jarvan V and Galene, Hyacinth was the recognized matriarch of the Azurebow family line as well as the wife of Aether. Since youth, Hyacinth was always curious of the nature around her. She often befriended many creatures that came along her way or helped them whenever they were injured. Since then, she became a friend and ally among the many creatures who lived within the House Dragonborn enclave.
Skilled with bows and darts, descendants of the Azurebow family line were said to possess keen intuition and a strong inclination towards maintaining a mutual relationship with nature.
"Be still and quiet. Listen closely and you will hear the wise whispers of the ancient trees."

Freesia (June 8, 2014 - July 12)
As the eldest child of Shyvana and Jarvan IV, Freesia was known for her sweet and gentle temperament. It was even whispered that her personality strongly resembled that of her maternal grandmother.
Unfortunately, Freesia experienced much grief when she gave birth to three stillborn daughters. However, Freesia was comforted by her mother, who willingly gave up her own three infants that were born on the same day as hers. Freesia eagerly took her baby brothers, Caden and Oliver, and her sister, Primrose, under her wing and raised them as her own.
Although she managed to raise her 3 younger siblings to adulthood, they all left House Dragonborn only to be slaughtered by nearby raiders in the process. Some time later, Freesia became sick with a fatal illness and tragically died the following morning. With her parents and clansmen beside her deathbed, she whispered her final words:
"Don't be sad. Like my grandmother before me, I will also sing many songs to you in your dreams. Farewell..."

Unfortunately, as much as Dahlia was still coping from the loss of her children and her elder sister Freesia, she later suffered from severe wounds and subsequent blood loss after she fought against a group of local raiders who attempted to ambush her clansmen. Even with death looming over her, she was not afraid but rather accepted her fate and made peace with herself.
"Soon, I'll join my sister in death, but I'm not afraid. My body may be broken, but my dragonborn spirit will never cease to protect my loved ones."

Although Jarvan V was the youngest of the three, he was nevertheless chosen as an heir of House Dragonborn. He bore much of Shyvana's likeness, yet possessed his father's charisma. Like his parents, Jarvan V desired nothing but for the greater good of House Dragonborn and thus strived his best to be a worthy leader.
Sadly, Jarvan V lost his first wife Tethys, who died from fatal wounds during a fierce clash against a group of local raiders. He cremated her and scattered her ashes in the sea, who forever became one with the waters of the world. Jarvan V grieved for a time before he managed to move on and married Aurora, whose appearance seemed oddly reminiscent of Tethys...
But some time after their daughter Iris had birthed her own children, Aurora mysteriously disappeared one night. Nobody knew where she went, for she had left without a word. Jarvan V desperately searched his beloved, praying that somehow Aurora would be found unhurt. But all he could find were Aurora's discarded clothes that were left near the edge of a cliff that faced the sea. Convinced that Aurora was forever gone, Jarvan V wept and questioned what could have made her so unhappy that she would leave this world.
As he looked down from the cliff, he saw a body that washed up from the shore. Trembling with anxiety, Jarvan V wondered if it was Aurora. Instead, what he found was an unconscious Galene. Jarvan V took her into House Dragonborn and helped Galene regain her strength. Grateful for Jarvan V's help, Galene swore loyalty to House Dragonborn. And before long, Jarvan V fell in love with the beautiful Galene and married her. Whenever Jarvan V stared into Galene's eyes, he couldn't help but wonder if somehow all this time he had loved the same wife whom he cherished. For he saw in her eyes the same soul that loved him - the soul whom he saw within Tethys and Aurora...
Protective of Galene, Jarvan V fathered numerous children. Most notable were his three children who resided within House Dragonborn:
