Azhi stirred from his slumber yet again, it would seem there was no respite from the howling he would hear on the winds, in his dreams and even by the tongues of his own clan. He’d questioned it at first, even sought help despite his pride, but only he would hear these voices. It was fine for many years, normal almost, he founded his clan alongside Azusa and provided work and homes to all manner of dragons, raised a family, but when his team of warriors discovered the Ghostlight Ruins... yes that was when the voices started.

Azhi was only partially aware of how that day changed him. He knew he was more agitated, prone to snapping at small grievances. And he knew that the voices keep beckoning him to the ruins. He would mutter about what the voices whispered.

Creeping away from his bednest he skulked towards the cartographers room. He parted the curtain and called in to the Pearlcatcher, who was thankfully pulling another all-nighter adding yet more details to his world map.

“Noah...” his sleepy voice hissed the dragons name, startling him.
The Pearlcatcher almost spilled his ink pot and hurriedly secured the lid as he turned to face his leader.
Azhi did not wait for him to respond.
“Noah have you drawn that map I requested?”
“The...map of the ruins? Yes, I finished it earlier today...the ink should be dry now” Noah clutched his pearl with his tail as he carefully rolled up the fresh map and presented it to Azhi.
“From what I can see Boss, there may be a way into the catacombs below the ruins past that fog wall...” Noah paused. “You’re going to go there...aren’t you?”

Azhi wasted no time in looking over the parchment. “I have to Noah, I need to know what’s down there...I need answers...”

His voice broke, turning colder as he growled out his words.

“...Whatever’s down there must be mine...”
