Backround:

One sunny day, a very old tree gave up to the gravitation. It fell with a tremendous thump. Under its roots, a lone egg was revealed. The luscious forest nurtured by Gladekeeper kept the egg safe, and the hot rays of the sun bathed it in warmth.
Eventually the tiniest crack appeared on the surface of the egg. It took that day and the night, and finally when the morning sun greeted the forest, a small baby dragon rolled out of the egg. With her green coat she blended in with the forest. And the forest took her as its own, raising her to adulthood in the most peaceful environment. The forest named her Silva, which is one of its own plentiful array of names.

But Silva was getting restless. She started to wander around more. At some point she realised that she is lonely, even though she had the companion of her familiar.
But even in her loneliness Silva didn't want to leave the forest, for it was her home.
And it was good that she did not leave. Otherwise she might have missed the meeting of her future mate and co-founder of their clan.

That day was stormy. And it was no ordinary storm which passed quickly with some raindrops. The wind was howling, rain splattered angrily against everything and flooded the ground, and thunder raged. In a sense the rain was lucky, it kept everything wet, so the thunder couldn't light anything on fire.
Silva was comfortably dry inside her protected den at the edge of the clearing where she was born. This storm would pass too, after it had raged enough. But what Silva didn't know and could in no way predict, was that this storm would change her life.
Suddenly the dragoness's attention was alerted to a peculiar commotion on her clearing. There was a loud thump, growling, tumbling noises, and finally another thump. After that it was silent. Silva might have left the matter to be, if she hadn't had heard the growling. That sound most certainly wasn't part of the storm. Carefully she peeked outside and tried to squint through the rain. She noticed that the green grass growing on the clearing was disturbed, forming a long, deep brown line across the field. It was already filling up with water.
The line stopped to a tree, and at the end of it Silva could see a green lump of something which most certainly didn't belong there! The dragoness wondered, what it was, until she noticed the outline of a wing, limp on the ground. After that notion she hesitated no more, but quickly went to the dragon who had fallen to her clearing, carried by the uncontrollable wind.

When Silva reached the other dragon, he or she was unconscius. Silva couldn't be sure of the gender, since this dragon looked nothing like her. In fact, he or she looked quite ferocious compared to her. But now wasn't the time to ponder about things like this!
She got to work. It was incredibly difficult, but somehow she managed to haul the fallen dragon inside her den and out of the storm.

Finally inside, Silva was able to focus more on the appearance of her surprise guest. She noticed immediately that the dragon had suffered some injuries, but they all seemed minor. Wings looked fine and intact. The worst wound was on the dragons head. Silva tended to them to the best of her ability. After that she could only wait and see, if the dragon would wake up. She dearly hoped that it would. This dragon was the first other dragon she had ever seen. It would be just plain cruel, if the dragon were not to wake up.

It was the longest night of Silva's life. The storm raged on. The sun rose, though it was almost unnoticeable, as the storm made everything so dark. Slowly the storm started to subside, only occasionally sending short gusts of stronger wind. By noon there were small rays of sunlight peeking through the clouds, and to Silva's excitement, the mystery dragon started to stir. Slowly it returned to consciousness. Silva told the dragon where it was, that it was safe, but should mind it's head, for there was an injury. She asked for the dragon to stay, until the wounds had healed. She was rather surprised at her own boldness, but turned out it was worth it. Finally her guest put a word in, by profusely thanking Silva for her efforts, and agreeing to stay. From his voice Silva was able to tell, that he was indeed a male. She was glad about that, for it would have been mortifying to have to ask. Her guest introduced himself as Hidro.

Hidro stayed for a week. Silva took care of his wounds, and was also able to hunt some small game for him, thought it was very difficult, because Silva's diet consisted only of plants. She felt bad for the animals, but she also didn't want to let her first and only friend starve. During the week the two of them got to know each other. They bonded. Silva was completely crestfallen when Hidro left, but soon it turned out that he couldn't stay away for long. Only two days later, while Silva was mournfully going about her business, she suddenly felt eyes on her. It was Hidro! Silva was told, that after spending the precious week with her, it had been almost torturous being alone again. Hidro had no family or clan of his own either. He had left thinking that he was so used to being alone, that he needed no-one, but soon his thoughts were proved wrong.

So Hidro stayed. Silva was overjoyed. She was lonely no more. Eventually their den was filled with the sounds of baby dragons, and occasionally a lonely dragon followed Hidro to the clearing when he was returning from a hunting trip. Their clan started to grow. In the depths of a green forest, the clan of green dragons thrives, unseen by many.
