-nature dragon, from ancestral home of the Wildclaws
-driven out from his hatch clan due to refusing to fight a duel
-travelled Sorienth before joining a Light Flight clan
-fell in love with a Wildclaw named Shade, had a clutch of hatchlings together
-was bewitched by the clan mage, resulting in another clutch
-did not remember this encounter until the mage revealed it to Shade after their second nest
-despite knowing he was under a spell, Shade was distraught, and their relationship began to fall apart, with one day Tinsel awaking to find Shade had left the clan
-nothing tying him to the light clan any longer, and not wanting to remain near the mage, Tinsel travelled, ending up on the Windswept Plateau
-crossed paths with Ruby, a large, intimidating imperial dragon who serves as lookout near the southern sea border
-unwilling to tie himself to a clan just yet, Tinsel remained a loner, occasionally coming to Ruby's post to chat (whether or not he was successful in getting the imp to chat back depended on the day)
-eventually, the two grew close as friends, with Tinsel agreeing to join Ruby in the storm clan (if only to keep him from worrying over his safety as a lone dragon on the plateau)
-now serves as a wind flight messenger in exchange for a place within the clan, intercepting and delivering messages that travel among the breeze
