―Blackfog―
The Guardian of Nests, Grandfather of Silverblood, Kind and Gentle
☆ Voice: Very rarely speaks but when he does it rumbles the earth and warms your heart. ☆ Origin: He helped Shadowmaw dug out the cave and hunt for food, then when he was about to leave to carry on his search he came across the nest she just made and...he found his charge. He watches all the nests and never in Silverblood's entire history have they been attacked or broken eggs by outsiders or beasts. Since he landed next to the sound of a dragon scratching a lair out of the side of a cliff among the dark trees and glowing mushrooms, he knew he was home. It just felt right. But when he saw the nest for where the eggs were to be laid he knew his Search was over, it was a fallen tree with a hollow centre, mushrooms of all sort and glowing moss grew around it. There is nothing he deems more precious than guarding the future generations. This grandfather has stood over many eggs and watched hatchlings born and grow, he has seen them left to new homes or left to serve the ShadowMother. He has lived well with his mate whom he is deeply concerned since her curse, who has grown distant to him and everyone else. In the depth of his heart he hopes that someday the Shadowmother will bless him for all his good work and servitude. ☆ Nickname(s): Grandfather, Egg Guardian, He Whom You Saw First ☆ Mate: Shadowmaw but she is uninterested at the moment 1/12/2022 - no mate /☆ Hoards: Nothing Update - 14/06/2019 Shadowmaw was gone, his ward, his life, his charge was dead. The old guardian was distressed and looked for her scent everywhere, he no longer ate or slept. All his attention and focused was on _her_. Where was she? why did everyone say she was gone? gone where? where did she go? They had shown him her ashes but they did not smell like her. Where is she? The sad eyes of his clan mate offered no comfort, nothing did. He must find her. Update - 01/12/2022 The pain of having no charge had gone into a dull ache over the years, most guardians either don't survive losing their first charge. The old hatchling nest had eventually disintegrated into ash and dust which he kept in a jar. His mate was long gone even though someone shared her name and position, it was not _her_ as he remembered. The old dragon had found purpose, he trains the younger dragons in the colisuem. Not for for their deity, that was the job for the leader and others. No. he trained warriors who are to stay within the clan. Even if the nest is not same , it has always been his pride and joy to watch new hatchlings break free from eggs. |
