HYPERION - CLAN FOUNDER.

Personality
Hyperion tends to be the one who gives voice to decisions he and his mates reach agreements upon. More often than not, though, he is also the first to show compassion to the members of the clan should they experience hardships or loss. Such compassion has on more than one occasion been one of the many things that has endeared the clan members towards him.

History
When Hyperion was growing up he lived in a clan exclusively of Tundras. This "pride" was in perfect harmony with the Beastclans who shared the Frigid Floes with them as a home and they protected each others' numbers. The other dragons of the Southern Icefield felt this was an imbalance of social status and would time and again choose to ridicule, mock and treat the pride unfairly.

"Why do they shun us? What's wrong with helping those who are smaller than us?" He would ask the leaders and his parents on more than one occasion. "We're just trying to coexist peacefully with the Beastclans!"

"Someday you will see what absolute beasts Dragonkind can truly be, my son." His father told him on one occasion. "Then you may understand why our Beastclans allies hate those who refuse to help them."

When that day came, Hyperion was an adult and foraging on his own for any vegetation he could find for the clan stores. A loud, bellowing roar could be barely heard through the flurried winds that swept across the expanse. He had heard that roar many a time before and knew it to be the clan leaders calling all members to arms to protect the clan and their allies. But by the time that he had returned to the dens that the clan called home, there was nary a dragon or Beastclan member who was still alive.

Shocked by how thorough and ruthless the other dragons were, he fled his home and wandered to where he had found a lone Guardian named Ice Angel. He had expected her to be like the other dragons, who had killed his only family, but was pleasantly surprised that she wasn't. On unsteady grounds, they formed an alliance and then fell in love before creating their own clan.
