Bloodscale Helmet 		Thorn was born a long time ago. He has very few memories of that time, save for the sensation of being cradled carefully in vast paws and beloved.

When he came of age he set off on his Search, intending to search all the lands of Sornieth for his Charge. Tabitha accompanied him on his journeys and proved a source of comfort, curling close to him during the cold nights and buoying his spirits when it seemed as though he would never find his purpose.

When Tabitha came across the plateau, which she declared "smelled like happy places", he was initially skeptical. He cared for Tabitha deeply but he didn't believe she could found a home just by wishing for it. He helped her build it, sure, baking bricks for walls, carving out the natural caverns into purposeful shapes, but in his heart he disbelieved.

When Malice arrived, he wrestled with whether or not to move on. In the end he swore to stay at least another season, to see what Tabitha could make. More and more dragons followed in Malice's wake, until Thorn awoke one morning and left the caverns, ready to move forward in his Search, only to discover that this clan, this little ragtag band of dragons held together by belief and conviction, was his Charge.

And so it was that he and Tabitha became the leaders of Clan Thistledown.

He carried on his training as a warrior, fervent in defense of his Clan, and began to train the others who came to them. He has seen the Clan grow and shrink and grow again, and has offered a safe harbour and a warm bed to all who sought it.

Thorn is a compact, buff, brisk dragon. He's not a big Guardian, but he exudes a force of personality that makes him seem much larger and much more imposing. He's almost never seen without either his red-spined armour or his Earth sprite familiar, whom he calls Rocky.

He never settled down, having hatchlings with a number of female dragons never really looking for anything beyond that. At present, he's happy with his friendships - Tabitha and Malice, Eileen and Bella and Polaris, [#24461244] and [#24625746] - and has no interest in pursuing anything past those. 		Earth Sprite
