Ardebth is not a pleasant dragon to encounter. He, in typical Gaoler fashion, considers other species as inferior – weaklings who grew soft. He carries only little memories of the time when he was one of them so he can’t relate to their pathetic desires and often reminds them of how he perceives them. With those who are not of his species he’s curt. He absolutely won’t spare more words than is absolutely necessary. But he’s a dragon of few words even among his peers. It’s hard to gain his trust and he refuses to speak to anyone who isn’t close to him. He has no sense of humor and doesn’t care for others’ feelings – maybe Lasslie is an exception.
He’s very righteous, however, and feels strongly about protecting others. Although he does believe that life of anyone who isn’t capable of taking care of themselves isn’t worth saving. Still, he’d help them. There is also an exception to his cold demeanor and that is hatchlings. He’s very gentle with little dragons of all species and likes to watch them playing.

B I O G R A P H Y

With Lasslie they came into existence suddenly; Tidelord’s gifts to the land of Sornieth.
One look on the Mirror dragoness was enough for him to know they were soul bound.
They established their clan in the safety of Tsunami Flats. Small as it was in the beginning, it grew. New dragons found their home in the territory they took for themselves. Nests of eggs hatched and their offspring flew off to live in the world and spread their genes. They were happy.
Until they were stabbed in the back.
Elisse, a young Imperial female, daughter of their trusted friends Lumos and Aurelia, had her eye set on the leading position. She didn’t agree with the way they led the clan – she said they were too traditional, too close-minded and old-fashioned! The conflict between them worsened with each day until, inevitably, it reached its climax.
They were sure they could win – together, they were stronger than Elisse ever could be. Little did they know she had friends, and quite powerful at that. Rox, an offspring of a powerful Plague clan, and Innocence, also a daughter of a pair they trusted. Together the three dragonesses overthrew Ardebth and Lasslie.
They remained part of the clan for a time and watched with distrustful eyes changes that the three established. Finally, they couldn’t stomach what had become of the clan they raised together, with love and best of intentions, and left to serve their master Tidelord.

Time passed.

Years and years passed when suddenly, as they had once before, they found themselves standing on Sornieth’s ground, in the territory of their clan. But it was different. Now the dragons were living in the Leviathan Trench; there was chaos all around.
However that had to wait. They were different too. Their bodies took form of their ancestors, an ancient breed of Gaoler dragons. They knew what had to be done – they had to reclaim the leadership of their clan and establish order once more.
It proved an impossible task. Nobody paid attention to them, least of all Elisse and her friends. Nobody had any respect for their elders. It was useless.
Nonetheless, hope was not loss. Two dark silhouettes appeared on the horizon. It was as if Ardebth and Lasslie saw their younger selves coming from far away. They knew everything would be alright.
So they stayed with what has become of their clan. They keep a careful watch over the youngsters that became the new leaders and provide their insight and guidance when asked for it. And in the meantime, they fight for the safety of all dragons of Sornieth as Gaoler dragons do.

T R I V I A

• He's heterosexual and his mate is Lasslie

• His familiar is called Wego.

• Due to his past as a Guardian dragon who functioned as a guard of the clan's hoard, he still remembers the joys of protecting the pile of gold and it keeps cathing his eye whenever he sees the glimmer of coin. It's just an echo of a past long gone however.

• He's incredibly strong when it comes to physical strenght - the same cannot be said about his magical abilities.
