Born of stone and fire, Maven knows many of the secrets of both. She can call a spark from a dead ember, or whisper to the memory of magma within her mountain home.
It was those whispers that lead her away from her clan and into the terrain near the Dolman clan where she chanced upon an old dragon named Smolder. Their attraction ignited instantly, and was as their nature, volatile and aggressive. He swept her back to his clan and begun courting her in a way that promised a swift end to any others who looked her way.
She stayed with him, but was cautious with her affections. Though she could no more deny him then her own nature, she is still young and determined to bring her own power to match his before a permanent union occured between them.
Alas, the peace she thought she would find in her new life did not last long. Dirge, the leader of the clan was an aggressive dragon who did not trust other dragon clans and created much suspicion and unrest. Before she had been there long, Dirge's second son, Casanova, staged an uprising with the support of most of the older dragons and drove Dirge out. There was much bloodshed though, and several dragons fled family and friends, unsure of who to trust. Maven was simply trying to protect her children when everything went wrong. Now she is wandering the wilds again. Looking for another start.

Like many other dragons, she now resides as a fire witch in The Pack of Lightened Trees, isolated from the Fire Flight and finnaly feeling peace as she is now blind and can only navigate the world by her senses and dreams; from now on the brave skydancer wishes to spend her last years snuggled in the witches den on her new home
