______ In the beginning, there was the egg and the egg was the world.

______ The world was smooth and without flaw and it held the One. The One lived in the world and the world provided for the One. Outside the shell of the world was the realm of the hungry gods and their demons. They coveted the One’s existence, for he was solid and real like the World and they were not. They hungered for a place in the World, to be real like he was, so they whispered their lies to the One. They wished to crawl in his mouth and consume him from the inside; they would destroy his self and wear his body as a skin to exist in the World. He was not tempted by them for they held no power in the World, only in dreams and illusions and stories. He heard the falsehoods they weaved to trap him and did not believe their empty promises. He kept his mouth closed to them so they could not climb inside.

______ The jealous gods grew angry the One would not fall to them. They planned and combined their powers together to create the Vast Illusion. The world that was one, sacred and whole, seemed to be broken and the illusion was the violent opposite to the world. It was sharp where the world was smooth and in that breaking there was a great pain as the teeth of the hungry gods tore at his face, but the One did not fall. He knew this was another illusion and did not open his mouth to them. The Gods and the demons in their false bodies dragged him from the world into the Vast Illusion but the One was not fooled. Their bodies were false shells shaped like that of the One but he could see from the light inside which ones were Gods and which the demons created to serve them.

______ That which they called the world was false; for in the world there only is and only would be the One.
