Lore Mim grew up in Clan Adeptica, and was influenced early on by her 'not-grandmother,' Morrigan, who took her under her wing despite the awkwardness of their relationship. (Mim's grandfather, Uther, was Morrigan's ex-mate, whom she left to be with Phoenix.) Although Mim has the energy to keep up with her Spiral friends, like Hannah, Morrigan, and Enchantment, she's not a full-time member of the clan's alchemist circle. Instead, her particular vocation is researching and experimenting with transfiguration and shapeshifting magic, a discipline that sometimes involves making potions. As such, she often compares notes with the alchemists, as well as with Flamestrike, the herbalist. Outside of her vocation, Mim is everyone's crazy old aunt. She loves to tell embarrassing, but funny clan stories, especially the ones about the ridiculous shenanigans her clanmates got up to when they were hatchlings, and give out silly nicknames. She's also absolutely mad about Night of the Nocturne, and goes around singing holiday carols all season long, sometimes with lyrics she made up. She has declared herself Queen of the Strange Chests, organizing and cataloging every last gift they contain and presenting her catalogs to Shadowspell.
