Will o' the Ember 		The captain of the dragons that guard the Demesne of Cimmerian, Vimes takes his job, if not himself, very seriously. An orphan, he first found his way to the desert island that tops the undersea mountain. He was raised in the temple there. Though he was devoted to the Tidelord, he was still a fire dragon and could not easily enter the rest of the realm. Night after night, he prayed that the Tidelord would change him into a water dragon. Morning after morning he woke, still a fire dragon.

His prayers did not go unheard, though. Unbeknownst to him, the other dragons of the temple knew of his desperation to enter the water. The mages of the realm came together and enchanted a gem that would not only allow him free movement through the water, but some control over it as well as his native fire. Vimes uses this power to protect and defend and is well loved by the community.
