ONCE UPON A TIME
-freya's first male child w/magical abilities (she, for once, did not see this coming)-as close to helena as one can be (since she's freya's only other imp child) -he likes to sit with her when she's landed, even though she doesn't always know he's there -was a quiet child, overlooked by his mother -magic took a bit longer to manifest in him -wanted to be just like gwaine when he grew up because he assumed he wouldn't have powers -started training with his dad and studying with january at a young age -then one day he touched one of january's older swords and saw a glimpse of its past -and it definitely wasn't a nice glimpse -realised he could see the future too when he picked up a brand new doll at the market and saw a child receiving it as a present -is not happy that he has this gift, especially because he still really wants to be a knight -hasn't seen anything that he can directly connect back to himself but is still afraid that he'll see his own death one day -his powers only work on inanimate objects -gloves seemed to help for a while but now he has to wear special magic gloves and long sleeves and hope he doesn't come into contact at all with objects -but sometimes he gets a burst of power and the magic gloves don't help -he doesn't really want to train his powers but knows he needs control over them -really just wants to suppress his magic so he can just be a regular ol' knight -because of his powers he's really good at finding people/things -gets hired by various members of the weathering and it's allies to go out and try to find people Funner Facts; -super duper bi -inherited his father's gr8 hair but his is nowhere near as dark -wears a short beard -slightly awkward -gets really nervous and flustered around january because she's super intimidating and he also kind of has a crush on her -this is hilarious to most people who do not know january because she is half his size -but those who do know her understand cause she knows how to use ALL the weapons -has a massive, unrequited crush on marcella -ends up being summoned by the spirit court a lot to go hunt down marcella's suitors who she's lured off into the woods and left there -best friends with charlie, who was one of marcella's suitors but really wanted to stay in the woods so he just goes to visit her and they complain about how marcella doesn't know they exist -leaves the weathering because he can't be constantly hunting down marcella's suitors and be around her (aka he is young and has feelings) -and also wants to get away from freya who is constantly ranting to him about using his powers for the good of the light -he has no interest in using his power for that -accidentally ends up becoming a type of bounty hunter instead -someone (?!) helps fabian hone his powers, and he gets better at finding people -ends up at the oasis to visit his half sisters -and kind of ends up staying -loves how calm it is -definitely makes sure to keep his gloves on at all times though, especially around all the war veterans and their things |
