Krucifend

Yumin-ah's older brother.

Krucifend is possessed by a demon, and a wrath demon at that. He was possessed as a child and the demon's been with him for years. He fears his brother may end up possessed as well, and has become extremely overprotective of him.

Since he and Yumin (Yumin-ah's nickname) lost their parents at a young age, Krucifend took it onto himself to take care of them and keep them safe. It soon became apparent that the demon in his body was not going to let his life go as simply as that.

At the age of 11, when Yumin was 9, Krucifend went to a traveling shaman. He requested to the shaman that they exercise, or at the very least bind the demon that plagued him. The shaman decided to take pity on him and bound his demon, sealing its wrath inside spellbound sashes that seemed to simultaneously float around him at all times, unaffected by any outside force. Many other small piercings and jewels were attached to assist in keeping the demon at bay. They only bound the demon's ability to forcefully use his body to injure or destroy people and things, but could not bind the demon's ability to try to take over his thoughts and mind. If he gave in in his mind then the demon would control his body, and the sashes would have no feet. All he had to do was not give in.

When he came home to Yumin, the younger dragon has questioned his brother about the sashes elegantly floating around him, and Krucifend simply replied that they were magical and that they helped him.

Krucifend never intended for Yumin to find out he was possessed, but fate seemed to be against him. He often battled the demon in his mind, sort of like a second voice, over what he should be doing. The demon always told him to hurt or destroy, while he only wanted to help and fix. He wanted to be a healer. The demon wanted him to be a berserker. Unwanted thoughts or opinions always invaded his mind, pushing his own, kind, thoughts into the corner occasionally. One day, the demon decided to try to take over his thoughts while Yumin had been asking him questions.

Just go ahead and kill him... The demon's voice had drawled in his head, telling him to attack his own brother, his own blood. Krucifend had immediately fought back to the thought, but at the same time Yumin had become confused and concerned with what was wrong with his brother as Krucifend had to go and sit in his nest of a bed. Yumin had asked his brother what was wrong, and got a reply of "Go away", but he persisted. He asked his brother again and again what was wrong, not seeing the danger he was putting himself into. Moments later Krucifend snapped and struck Yumin, the demon in his mind winning over thought for a brief second, before remorse and horror washed over him as he watched his brother fall to the ground, a large slash covering his face.

Yumin and Krucifend grew more distant after that incident. Yumin' trust in Krucifend had begun to dissipate, as he figured out soon after the event that Krucifend was possessed. He wa furious that his brother never told him about or tried to work with him about it.

Almost their entire relationship had been destroyed because of his demon.

Later in his brother's life, Yumin decided to become a traveling shaman to help others who had the same problem as him or his brother, although at the cost of almost never seeing his brother again.
