Alliance: Geneva

Does some really BA cosplay.

Amon (or Altair as he used to be called), was the third dragon to join the clan, after Ilsabeth and Valens. He just showed up one day - a little cheerful poltergeist, sneaking around the castle and pranking the resident dragons. For a while, Geneva and Vulcan were almost convinced that the castle was literally haunted, oblivious to the fact that it was another dragon playing tricks on them.

When Altair was finally discovered, the clan's progenitors got into a horrific fight over whether or not they should keep the baby Plague dragon. Vulcan was all for giving the harmless fledgling a chance, but Geneva was blinded by her prejudice of Plague flight and her fear of responsibly raising children. The conflict unresolved, Geneva headed up to her observatory to sulk. Unbeknownst to her, Vulcan urged the hatchling to follow her up the stairs, knowing that despite Geneva's violent outburst, she would never harm the smaller dragon. On finally noticing Altair's nervous appearance, Geneva was forced to admit she was actually quite fond of the little white Skydancer (though she only said, "I guess you're not that bad"), and accepted him into the clan.

Vulcan had high hopes for Altair becoming the clan's bone priest, as he showed great talent in healing (and Plague, though he kept that hidden) magic from a very young age. Even when Geneva and Vulcan laid their first clutch, and Marco became the next official clan prankster, Altair saw little reason to adhere to his studies and spent much of his time goofing off or going out on adventures.

But something changed when (Unnamed, the female ice Coatl), joined the clan. Shocked at her appalling condition, and even more distressed when she refused his healing magic on the grounds of him being a Plague dragon; Altair withdrew from the other dragons, secluding himself in his quarters for days on end. When he finally emerged, a dusty hood obscured his features.

Now, every day, he trains assiduously in the Coliseum, preparing for some eventuality the others know nothing about. The more optimistic members of the clan assume he is merely preparing for replacing the clan's current healer, An, when she goes off to join the Lightweaver. But his closest confidants may have noticed how his eyes drift to the west in the evenings, in the direction of the Scarred Wastelands.

He will pilgrimage to the Wyrmwound. He will face the Plaguebringer herself. And then - only then - may he find the answers he seeks.

Despite their vast age differences (the progenitors' listed birthrates are when the clan was formed, not when they were actually born), Amon is treated much like a younger sibling and not a child.

~Once a silly little hatchling playing Assassin,
Now a terrifying Blood Mage named Amon
~

He has been called by multiple names: Altair, Amon. Renown as being one of the clans greatest pranksters, he has been trained as an assassin, a blood mage, and most importantly a healer. Though highly charismatic, every dragon in the clan agrees there is something unsettling about the Skydancer - a reputation helped along by his thorough enjoyment of freaking anyone out. But the life of he leads can be a lonely one, and he is always secretly ashamed whenever someone refuses his healing aid.

Note: no one is quite sure if this is part of his most elaborate prank yet; he could always dramatically parade into the main hall, drop the hood at everyone's feet, and proclaim, "Amon is dead."
Actually, that would be a pretty awesome crossover. Legend of Korra x Assassin's Creed, anyone?

EDIT: Apparently someone did some epic crossover art of Assassin's Creed / Legend of Korra! So go check our moni158 on DeviantART!

The newborn Plaguebaby watches you alertly from the corner, his uncanny red eyes focused intently on yours. You glance away, uncomfortable, but when your eyes return to the corner, the baby dragon is gone. Startled, you look around quickly, only to feel a playful nip at your ankle. Grinning mischievously, the hatchling scampers off into the gloom.

It's a good thing Altair is too young to have fully mastered his Plague magic yet; otherwise half the clan would be throwing up in a suitably hilarious manner! Though currently too mischievous and playful to focus on studying, Altair shows promise of becoming an extraordinary mage some day. His outgoing and cheerful nature makes it easy to forgive him for all the pranks he plays, but anyone who has locked eyes with him too long will agree there's something unsettling about the young dragon. Perhaps he stares too long without blinking, or his smile is just a little too wide - but by then he's scampered off to cause havoc in the library and drive Vulcan up the wall.

Around the time Korra joined the clan, Amon had a rather horrible spat with the Matriarch for a reason that mostly has to do with conflicting shipping. That was the first time anyone had ever seen Amon completely loose his cool, and will be the last time Geneva ever tries her hand at matchmaking.
Anyways, he'll never be changing his name, but asks that you bear with us while his bio is re-written. Oh, and he's recently gotten a couple more recruits to watch his favorite show of all time, Legend of Korra.

Well technically skilled in the healing arts, most dragons are downright terrified of Amon and refuse treatment by him. He is only called upon in great need: when a dragon has lost a limb, been injured to the bone, or sustained another grievous injury beyond Raederle' and Opal's skills. He is particularly adept with conducting blood flow. This (nowadays) suits him fine, as it means he can continue his experiments with various venoms, tend his insect collection, and practice his assassination skills.

Two new red-and-white assassin dragons have joined the clan - a pair of Nocturnes. Amon has secretly taken them under his wing, and although he remains distant in public, they are some of the few dragons that are privy to the remnants of his jokester personality. One of them - as of yet unnamed - has been gifted with a small Scythe Kamaitachi of his very own, and rumor has it he will inherit the name Altair.

It has been an Earth year now since his Pilgrimage to the Plaguebringer, his curse of the Infectionist's Emblem, and his raise to Plague Representative. This position has been hotly contested, especially amongst members of the Corruption, who believe one of their own members should take his place. His spat with Geneva temporarily quieted the claims that he's in her pocket, but they came back in full force when it became clear he is his own agent, with little care others regardless of relation.

Frankly, Amon has accepted his burden, and given in to his dark side that delights in causing fear and mayhem amongst clan members.

This is his uncle, Apollo, a healer. Both Amon's parents are plague, but his father's parents are Arcane and his mother's parents are Wind. Some interesting heredity going on there.

Apollo (his uncle) was raised to fight in a brutal coliseum, but escaped and travelled to the Gladekeeper's lands. There, he studied healing magic extensively, and met a Longneck Mender who became his lifelong friend and companion. Apollo eventually travelled to the Great Furnace, where he lived for a long time as one of the chief dragons of Alexandor's Clan. Unfortunately, some great unknown cataclysm befell that clan, and Apollo left to reach his final rest amongst the welcoming boughs of the Gladekeeper.

Amon's Death's Head Stag Familiar was captured in the coliseum. The Crimson Emperor was found in Calypso's Gilded Treasure Chest the day her familiar awakened and Altair became Amon. Amon also has a Crowned Bonepriest, Corpse Cleaner, Cockatrice, and Scythe Kamaitachi familiar; although the Corpse Cleaner and Cockatrice have been bequeathed to his protege Alistair.
