Biography

On the southern corner of the steppes, where the ground is almost perpetually shrouded in darkness, lies a particularly dark and secluded grove. A simple cavern strung up with various bones and rags sits slightly apart from its fellows. Just beyond the doorstep of the lair, the ground appears blackened and scarred - a wasteland amongst the thriving clan. However, the scars seem old, and the ruined earth is gradually recovering; a few tufts of tough grass and flowers have started to emerge from the ruins.

The sound of scales moving against rock suddenly break the silence, and an immense mass heaves out of the lair. The imperial sniffs at the air and regards the newcomer solemnly, vivid red eyes gleaming in the sun. The orange and pink scales are vibrant against the subdued environment, as are the powder blue edges of the wings and the citrus-colored circuitry markings. It is the magical energy surrounding the imperial, however, that augments the presence of the dragon - the power of a plagueborn creature pervades the area. After a pause, the dragon emerges regally from the den, its gaze never leaving its visitor.

"Hm," he hums after a long silence. "You are new... but not intimidated." He mulls over this fact for a moment before lying against the earth - perhaps to make his presence less immense. "Good," he asserts, almost to himself.

A stiff wind rattles the bones at the entrance to the den, and the imperial turns to them when he notices the attention they have drawn. "Mementos," he clarifies simply. "From my homeland." He shifts in place, ruby eyes once again studying his guest. "I am Kyan. What has brought you here?"
