Maui's egg was discovered in Redrock Cove on winter solstice by the one of the gathering team. On being returned to the lair he promptly hatched. His colours match the venue so perfectly no one questioned when the little dragon showed great interest in water magic, as well as having weird control over sand.

He was allowed to study more magic in the library but focused mainly on improving his water ability's. He's quite gifted wowing the clans water mage with his fantastic displays, even if he tends to soak half the lair in the process.

He is a bit egocentric, believing himself something of a demi god. Maui is known around the lair for greeting others as cousins and saying "your welcome" when he's done something he was asked to do. No one really minds the nocturnes habits they just let him get on with it, but if ever there is a stray patch of water around its usually his doing.
