Once a great scholar, this one chose to explore the world as a way of learning - the Arcanist's archives really are quite boring after a few years. Favouring the sky, this one took off in a round the world trip to gather data on all breeds and flights of dragons, in the hope of finding something worthy of their flight-god's attention, and a place at their side.

Instead, this dragon earnt their flames in the Great Furnace.
Arrogance and overconfidence led to a crash-landing and near-death experience in the crater of the furnace itself. Expending all of their magical energy at once, this one barely survived the ash and sulphur poisoning - let alone the lava. Their magical powers have been non-existent since this day.

Due to the violent arcane energy released, flames fused with this one's wings, giving them a fearsome yet warming glow. The rest of their body is severely burnt with patches and dark scars - meaning they opt for a facemask and bandages over exposing their skin, which once grew magnificent and prideful plumage.

Seeing a savage-looking, yet sickly dragon almost suffer a similar fate in the molten scar, this one stepped in to save their life many times, before choosing to roam with them in search of a new home.

Through diligence and hard work, this one has become a skilled warrior with their claws, though they long for the touch of magic.
The discovery of this ones offspring being magically impaired has had this one choose celibacy, instead having them focusing on their duties within their new clan and the congregation of knowledge on everything mudane and magical.
