A veritable giant even among Imperials, Listerine is the largest dragon living within the Valley of Haze. She spends most of her days, perhaps surprisingly, hidden beneath the depths of the valley's largest lake. With myriad ruins dating back hundreds of years to perhaps the earliest days of Maren architecture, even Listerine can lose herself perusing the vast collection of history and art contained in her preferred haunt. With gills gifted to her in an age gone by she can stay submerged as long as she pleases, able to forage and fish when hungry, even sleep if a sunny spot is available.

Some dragons are entirely ignorant of her presence, so when in the summer months many come to swim and cool off in the falls she likes to graze her unsuspecting clanmates and give their legs a little pull. The resulting panic and screams of "maren!" is hilarious to those in the know.

Being ancient Maren territory, there are several outlets in this particular lake that lead all the way to the southern coast where the clan holds yet more territory, allowing her to slip away when the seasons fade to fall and winter. She doesn't mind the cold, but decidedly prefers warmer waters. There are many hidden, submerged caves along the coast Listerine takes full advantage of too during this time or when preparing a nest for their proximity to warm, gentle currents and easy access to large schools of fish and swaths of plant life. And because the water in the swampy Valley is already brackish the high salinity of the ocean is simple if uncomfortable adjustment.
