Pale

Keeper of the Dead

Pale is FASCINATED with death, but also history and personal journeys. While she has zero issue with the ending of any life, she finds each creature's journey to have meaning, and whether the dragon flees to another country (lest their exaltation be at the end of a knife), or leaves in the pure ecstasy of a completed ritual, Pale loves them, their path, and where they end up.

Below is a recording of the dead, the traitors, the slaves sold to others, and those special few who leave the clan for the Shadowmother ALIVE. Hatchlings and Fodders with little lore are not recorded here.

Espert: Princess. Beauty. Loved to Dance. Loved to act and sing. Did not follow her mother's wishes. Mated with Fragolina in secret. When the nest was uncovered, spoke in defiance. Sent to the Shadowmother on the end of a knife.

Fragolina: Jester. Madness. Spoke too much, too often. Cut his own tongue out to save his life and to please his queen. Was the most playful and mad of mimes. Known to hold a pose without expression for hours, should it be pleasing to the queen. Went against the queen when he was taken advantage of by the princess. Could not plead his own defense. Proudly permitted his own sacrifice, radiating love for his queen.

General Sky: Joined the clan, born to Shadow, rose in rank, was pondered as a mate, mated with Hime twice, birthed many sacrifices, fell out of favor when he spoke against the death of Espert and Frag, ran to the Arcanist.

Blooded: infected with the dracolycanthrope virus at hatching. Was a ferocious guard for the lair. Was not preferred as a mate for the Howl. Taken for science by her father for data. Her pelt worn by her father to honor her.

Sofran: Loyal consort to the queen. Was bred several times but produced no heirs of value. Bred to another and produced WORSE. Finally sent to the Shadowmother to fight in the wars, as his reason for being in the clan was to produce worthy heirs.

Toxcl: Stubborn non-believer. Fought often with her mate. Saw the turn of her fate and her doom. Ran to the Tidelord.

Acolyte: Servant to the Shadowmother. Wounded in the great battle with Clawai. Survived long enough to restore order to the priesthood, and turn the blade on those who were too ill to survive before giving her own life.

Florian: Servant to Acolyte. Priest in training. Lost at the claws of Clawai.

Font: Gatherer. Lost in the battle with Clawai.

Hime: Tiny Princess, learned her lesson. Loyal and cruel. Perfect mother to the brood. Lost during the Great Noc War.

Midori: Sister to Hime. Courtly and wise. Liason to the rangers. Excellent hunter. Solidified the banding of her tribe and ours. Lost during the great Noc war.
