Mercutio

The older, more lax and goofy brother of Valentius.

A dreamer who prefers to look through rose colored lenses. Valentius calls him a fool. Mercutio is tired of everything.

He used to be responsible at one point in his life when he was still under the scrutinizing eyes of the public and his parents. He was preened and taught how to present himself from a young age, anything less would be a disgrace! Day in and day out he was scolded to stand up straighter, look them in the eyes, sit with one leg crossed this way not that, bow at a 45 degree angle, carry a scroll like so. A never-ending existence of training to be sold for his services or married off. At the time Mercutio thought all of it was unnecessary and stressful. As he aged he learned he really had no freedom; no choice since he was born. He loathed getting up in the morning each day. His prim and proper life became a suffocating depression.

A day came when he was bought for a place in marriage. The last words he heard from his mother was, "It looks like you'll be having more than adequate hatchlings!" While it may have been one of the worst moments in his life, he's grateful that he was taken. His mate at the time was also seeking a way out from a family she never cared to tell him about and he was fine with that. Mercutio's plan was to simply leave on his own path while her's was to go to the Lightweaver. She could've much gone sooner if it wasn't for the fact she ended up caring just a little about Mercutio. So the two stayed together until they saved up enough money for him to live in his own little humble ruin of a home.

Once he was able to be free and go off on his own he immediately discarded any reminder of his previous home as well as most of his manners. He found the dragons of Solace and their easy going ways but kept to the residential area and turned a blind eye to the castle. He was out at the local cafe when his younger brother Valentius came around one day. His stomach dropped stone cold. Just seeing him reminded Mercutio of too much. While around his sibling Mercutio acts like a child, but each jab from Valentius about being irresponsible just sends a sickening feeling down his throat.

He likes to lay around and will eat anything that looks remotely edible. Wasting time is his specialty. Became somewhat of a kleptomaniac but will usually run off with things like flowers or bugs... usually. Will definitely steal honey.

Just really depressed so he jokes and plays around to cope with his thoughts of how much of a failure he is.

His signature move is to sticky his leggy out real far.
